Villa Alba Restoration

index image2

Type: Remodel
Location: Ross Valley

Description: Villa Alba was first built in the early 1900s with custom concrete work surrounding the villa.

When the Elkington’s purchased the villa in 2005 it had been vacant for over 30 years.  The Elkingtons did everything to bring the history of this home back to life including incorporating today’s technologies.  The house was supported with a new foundation and completely transformed to include solar power and radiant heating throughout to compliment the handcrafted woodwork.  The woodwork includes hand-made custom mahogany kitchen cabinets, redwood trim-work throughout, windows and doors with marble keystones and custom inlaid detailing throughout the villa.  A bocce ball court was built to highlight the 1/3-acre the villa rests on.
